FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND AT A PETSMART CHARITIES EVERYDAY ADOPTION CENTER

At the BlogPaws conference in Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of meeting some lovely ladies from one of my favorite charities, PetSmart Charities!

PetSmart knows how important it is to support the animal welfare community, and they take that responsibility to heart with the many programs they sponsor through PetSmart Charities.

Every year, PetSmart Charities helps over 400,000 pets find homes through all their adoption endeavors.  More than 60,000 of them have found homes through PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Centers.  There are currently 17 Everyday Adoption Centers inside PetSmart stores across the country.  I volunteer at one of them so I know firsthand how much of an impact these adoption centers make.  PetSmart Charities partnered with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, an animal shelter I volunteer for, to create a wonderful Everyday Adoption Center at a PetSmart store in Scottsdale, Arizona.  I love volunteering at the PetSmart Charities adoption center, I’ve been able to help so many dogs and cats find homes with loving families.  

PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Centers make it easy for people to find adoptable dogs and cats right in the store!   It also helps raise awareness of the animal shelters they partner with due to the large volume of customers that come into the store to shop, and along the way visit the Everyday Adoption Centers.   I’ve adopted many pets to people who came into the Everyday Adoption Center “just to look”, but ended up finding their new best friend!

In addition to Everyday Adoption centers inside PetSmart stores, PetSmart Charities provides generous grants to animal welfare organizations throughout the U.S. and in Canada.   This helps animal welfare organizations fund adoption, pet rescue and spay/neuter programs.  They also created the PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin.  The Rescue Waggin transports dogs and cats from shelters that have more pets than potential adopters, to shelters that have more potential adopters than available pets. 

PETSMART CHARITIES GOAL:  To find lifelong, loving homes for every pet.

 

I adopted my dog Phoebe from the PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center in Scottsdale Arizona, where I volunteer.  Phoebe has brought such joy to our family, we couldn’t imagine our family without her!

There are over a dozen Everyday Adoption Centers in select PetSmart stores across the U.S. where thousands of dogs and cats have found Furever Homes.
