These two grave markers in the historic cemetery are made of metal instead of stone |
There are families buried here whose names are steeped in both history and scandal. One such family is associated with a horrifying murder that made national news in 1872. Kind of creepy, huh?
Have you ever visited a historic cemetery? Leave us a comment and tell us where, we love to hear from you!

I love old cemeteries. We have some very old ones in our city and I think it is so interesting to tour them.
Our Mom too loves old cemeteries - we often come across them in our adventuring
Our Mom also loves old cemeteries. The creepiest ones she has been in our probably the ones in New Orleans.....she reads WAY too much Anne Rice...BOL!

Hi Y’all!
This past winter I went with my Humans to visit her family in an historic old southern cemetery. My Human posted my picture by the family plot. My Humans already have their headstone in the old family row in another historic cemetery. The original family cemetery that bears their name is full.
We often stop in our travels to check out old cemeteries and sometimes find historic characters from history.
Thank y’all for givin’ me feedback on the theme changes I’ve been trying at my new home. I appreciate hearing the pros and cons for you.
Y’all come on by,

They are always so interesting. If you research further, you often find lots of scandal and intrigue associated with those buried in historic cemeteries. Thanks for stopping by!
Oh wow, I'm sure the ones in New Orleans were fascinating! I loved Anne Rice novels, but they started to scare me too much so I stopped reading them LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
Oh wow, that is SO cool to actually have your ancestors buried in a historic cemetery! Thanks for stopping by!
I have several photos from the historic cemetery, I'll post a couple more in the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping by Jenna!
I think cemeteries can be very interesting. I love to read the old gravestones, especially at places where some of my ancestors are (which we don't get to too often since they aren't close by).
