I love making treats for my dogs when I can, but I usually don't want to spend tons of time on my DIY dog treat projects. I like my dog treat recipes easy and quick, while still being a delicious and special snack for my dogs!
Here's a really simple DIY dog treat that takes very little time and uses just two ingredients:
PEANUT BUTTER YOGURT DOG TREATS:
5 Tbsp. Yogurt (I used Greek Yogurt)
2 large scoops of Peanut butter
THAT'S IT!!
STEP 1. Mix the yogurt and peanut butter together in a small bowl until blended.
STEP 2. Add the mixture to either a stuffable toy, such as a Kong toy OR you can spoon them into an ice cube tray.
STEP 3. Pop the peanut butter yogurt stuffed toy or the ice cube try into the freezer and FREEZE!
STEP 4. Watch your dogs gobble up their special treat with gusto!
I was a little worried that the ice cube tray wouldn't work well, that I'd have trouble getting them out of the tray. To my surprise they just popped right out! I think using the thicker Greek style Yogurt may have helped, they didn't stick to the tray much at all.
This homemade treat recipe couldn't be easier, but my dogs think I slaved in the kitchen all morning making them!
As you can see, Icy and Phoebe are thoroughly enjoying their Yogurt Peanut Butter treats. Phoebe has a weird habit of grabbing her treats and running away to the nearest dog bed to devour them, LOL!
Note: Remember to Always consult your Veterinarian before introducing new foods to your pet.

Kisses,
Ruby ♥
This is such a delicious treat according to the Bayou Boys! ♥ Thanks for sharing.
This looks like a great recipe! Remember to check the label of the peanut butter to be sure it doesn't have xylitol!
Such a simply recipe - and most people almost always have those ingredients in their house. Thanks for sharing!
You have a happy camper there! Frozen delights on a hot summer day, great job.
OH now THIS sounds like a real genuine doggy treat! I can imagine no dg would resist these for taste AND coolness during the summer months. Love the pictures to, clear and easy to see.
Oh these look so yummy! I'm sure my pups will love this. They really enjoy the kongs too.
I would have to switch to a different nut since we have allergies to peanut in this household. But that IS super easy! Would have to find an ice cube tray tiny tiny....
Thank you for a DIY treat that is simple and quick! Some of us are a bit challenged in the DIY area ;-) My dogs will LOVE these!
I will try this. I keep saying one weekend I'm going to try and make all the pet recipes I saved to Pinterest...one weekend soon.
Great idea! Sounds like something I'd like to eat.
I do like simple recipes! Mr. N is one of those weird dogs that refuses to eat PB.
I am getting fat reading the recipes BOL - sounds yummmy
This is so easy and I love both of these ingredients. Do you have any extra, I can come on over?!?!?! :)
Fabulous - our second treat that we're making over the upcoming long holiday!! Our pups love yogurt and peanut butter - so this will be a winner for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Yum! My FiveSibes love frozen yogurt and PB treats! And so simple! I bet Icy and Phoebe really enjoyed them! (Let them think you slaved in kitchen for them! BOL!) Now I have to go check out that yummy jerky stix recipe!!! (My Sibes are drooling!) ;-)
I'm gonna make this, this afternoon! Because Amy LOVES her kong, but she can finish the paste in less than 30 seconds :D!! This will keep her busy for a while!! Thank you for sharing! Must try :D!!
Forget the pups, I wanna try one of these - although I'll just eat straight from the bowl.
Yum- we make the same ice cream in our Dog Licks series - it goes perfectly in ice cream sandwiches as well as ice trays and Kongs. Kilo LOVES it. We sometimes add banana or other fruit as well.
Oh yummy!! Can't go wrong with this one.
LOL, I know right!? It's actually quite good, I ate one or two out of the ice cube trays!
I hope Amy likes this recipe, it's simple but delish and great if you freeze it to last longer
It is really simple, Icy & Phoebe went nuts for it - I can be a hero for very little effort with these. The jerky stix are great, they loved them. Excellent went it's hot out, of course Husky's always think it's HOT out!
Excellent! I hope they enjoyed this simple treat.
Of course you can come over Spencer! You are always welcome, we'll make extra.
LOL! I know what you mean.
Oh wow that is kind of odd, most dogs love PB. Maybe he'll like the pineapple yogurt jerky stix.
Oh for sure, me too!
This one is super simple & Fast! Anyone can find 5 to 10 minutes to make it.
Yes, it's SO simple and Fast! You can be a hero with just 5 minutes of effort!
LOL! I don't know how tiny of an ice cube try you'll find but perhaps those tiny paper cups they use for truffle making? Any kind of tasty buttery spread would probably do instead of the PB.
Yeah, my dogs love this treat and then they lick, lick, lick the Kong toy & then play with it!
They love it! It cools them off & keeps 'em busy for awhile with the Kong!
Glad you like the photos, thank you! It's such a simple treat, takes 5 minutes.
Super simple & the go nuts over it!
Yes absolutely, thanks for that important reminder - NO Xylitol for dogs!
If the discerning Bayou Boys give their seal of approval, I'm happy!
LOL!! Yes, that's exactly what mops is for! She could always give you the treats outside in the yard, maybe after you play w/ your bubble machine - eat al fresco! Keeping the carpet clean!
They'll love you for it!
Same here! It was a HUGE hit!
